Kent's Garbage

Kent Building Supplies on Allen St. in Charlottetown blows their snow over the fence during the winter. Into a public park. Clearly there is a lot of garbage that goes over the fence with it, that I can only assume they will be cleaning up in the near future.

I know if I threw a bunch of garbage in a park I'd probably end up with a fine...

Lazy Sundays

The Ground Returns

It's been a shorter winter than normal, but it's always good to see the ground again. The remains of my roommate's boyfriend's Snow Fort/Firepit is quickly disappearing.

Fun Fact: The concrete in our yard used to be the floor of a chainsaw repair shop.

So the weather today was ridiculously bad.

I got my rain coat out for the first time since last summer, when I wore it at virgin fest. I had it bunched up with some food in a bag back then and when I un-bunched it today it still smelled like food (like chinese food?) It smelled tasty.

SO here is a rare PHOTO OF ME. This is me being extremely ecstatic for the weather. Also I am wet and in the rain.

My roomie Shannon got me this set for Christmas/birthday this past year. I've been looking at a set like this for some time, it's really awesome.

I knew it was my day to post a photo, but I didn't home from work till 9 and I honestly just didn't feel like it. I thought I got away with it until Moe TWEETED AT ME FROM BED and was all you better post a photo or something something. So we were talkin' about sneakers earlier tonight and it gave me the idea to take this. Here are all my sneakers.

OMG Curry Chips

Tuesday night is Trivia night at Churchill Arms in Charlottetown. Which means British style curry. In tonight's case, curry chips! So good.

We did very poorly at trivia by the way...

Today was beautiful. I went for a walk downtown to meet friends, but ended up being too late.
So I turned around and met them at my friend josh's for a couple of drinks.
Later in the evening there was a knock at josh's door. J couldn't see who it was from where I was sitting, but was very confused when the very familiar voice wasn't coming in to say hi. Clearly he was someone we all knew.
Eventually he stepped within my line of sight.
He was my cousin Jim! Jim lives right under Josh! My cousin Amy was over visiting so I popped down for a visit. It's been awhile since I've seen either of them.
Jim & I used to be really close when we were kids. He was like my big brother, but without the sibling rivalry.
Well, usually without the rivalry. I guess there was the odd squabble..

Singing along

The Motorleague played with Last Call Chernobyl / Broken Ohms / Myles Deck & The Fuzz last night at the paragon. The Motorleague's set was amazing. They have a lot of energy! For the last song, they let everyone get up on stage and sing along, it was euphoric. It made me sad that we missed them at the ECMAs.

They didn't finish their set until 3am, so this count!

Curlingspeil

Alex, Moe and I curled at the Charlottetown Curling Club's Funspeil today. I found it was hard to try to film peoples shots, or photograph them, while skipping! But, we won! And it was Moe's first time curling and she did really well!

i work at a smoothie bar! well, it's not just a smoothie bar. we sell natural food & supplements, too. it's a pretty sweet job. i'm not used to standing for so long, but i'll get used to it.

i'm still working on my ecma photos. i should have them done by the end of the weekend.

i went to trivia instead. hey, i know where my priorities are!

(5 days actually) But that says it all, really.

ECMA Weekend Ends

Well, not quite yet, we still have the Gala (which is something like $56 so we're skipping it), and after party. But this is the last sunset for us in Sydney, and the end to a beautiful day.

What a great weekend, we've had so much fun. I tallied up that I saw 20 different bands yesterday, 11 the day before, and a bunch already today. Next will be tallying how much cover I paid to see those bands. One thing's for sure, the ECMA's are not cheap, you have to be pretty well off to pay $10-20 cover at every venue...

I'm at the ECMAs with Moe & Martin. We spent the day so far wandering around mostly. Had breakfast, beers, heard some bands that were playing at the pub we were in. It's tough to schedule what to do because there is so much going on. Looking forward to a lot of music I've never heard before later tonight.

we're leaving for the ECMA's in sydney tomorrow. i'm pretty excited. i have SO MUCH to do, though! naturally, i start with the unimportant stuff. like putting buttons on my camera strap.

i went to the doctors. a new doctor! she was nice and knew stuff.
