PEI Spring Farming

Farming is in full swing here on the island. Lots of farmers spotted while I was out riding too far this morning. At least they provided me with opportunities for a break.

Mow

First lawn mow of the season! I got my roommate Shannon to push the mower while I squat walked alongside it and shot. I may try this again to get something better.

Hershey & Moss

Hershey was enjoying a nice afternoon. I can only assume she was eating the moss, and nothing else.

Strange Faces

Zooming

Zooming while taking a picture of our table and cat Blink. I was playing around with zooming or walking while taking a shot.

Galileoscope!

I picked up mail that had been accumulating at our old place for some time (whoops) and forgot I had ordered a Galileoscope! I can't wait to play with this some night, and maybe even see if I can get the camera somehow hooked up!

Protestant Sunset

While feeding eelatsirks cats I noticed there was a bit of a sunset happening, so I went over to the Protestant Cemetary to see if I could get some shots. I'll have to go back again, there is lots of potential there!

Fun Testing

I tested a coworkers app during lunch today, it's a gps based RPG, very cool. It gives me some motivation to think about coding some things in my "spare" time again.

Too bad the screens don't handle being out in the sun very well...

Friday Dinner

I tried to make Pad Thai, but I wasn't very happy with the recipe. Will try to find a more authentic one another time. It was still pretty good though!

Fast Bike

Was just in for its first big tune up since I got it in 2007. Now it is fast again! Since I'm putting over 100km a month on it just for commuting to work, fast is good.

Kent's Garbage

Kent Building Supplies on Allen St. in Charlottetown blows their snow over the fence during the winter. Into a public park. Clearly there is a lot of garbage that goes over the fence with it, that I can only assume they will be cleaning up in the near future.

I know if I threw a bunch of garbage in a park I'd probably end up with a fine...

Lazy Sundays

Sundays are for greasy breakfasts, pottery, editing video, knitting, cleaning your brother with your tongue (ew), and being lazy.

The Ground Returns

It's been a shorter winter than normal, but it's always good to see the ground again. The remains of my roommate's boyfriend's Snow Fort/Firepit is quickly disappearing.

Fun Fact: The concrete in our yard used to be the floor of a chainsaw repair shop.

The Standoff

My roomie Shannon got me this set for Christmas/birthday this past year. I've been looking at a set like this for some time, it's really awesome.

OMG Curry Chips

Tuesday night is Trivia night at Churchill Arms in Charlottetown. Which means British style curry. In tonight's case, curry chips! So good.

We did very poorly at trivia by the way...

Curlingspeil

Alex, Moe and I curled at the Charlottetown Curling Club's Funspeil today. I found it was hard to try to film peoples shots, or photograph them, while skipping! But, we won! And it was Moe's first time curling and she did really well!

Early Spring?

Sure hope so, today sure felt like it could be. +2 and sunny, snow melting...

ECMA Weekend Ends

Well, not quite yet, we still have the Gala (which is something like $56 so we're skipping it), and after party. But this is the last sunset for us in Sydney, and the end to a beautiful day.

What a great weekend, we've had so much fun. I tallied up that I saw 20 different bands yesterday, 11 the day before, and a bunch already today. Next will be tallying how much cover I paid to see those bands. One thing's for sure, the ECMA's are not cheap, you have to be pretty well off to pay $10-20 cover at every venue...
