on a bit of a vinyl kick lately. My stepdad has stacks of records, and I have a few of my own. I got an outboard pre-amp so I could use my dad's record player on my receiver. it's fun!



i was so excited when i opened this one and it was BLUE. how cool is that?

i helped a friend and her husband move today. it was fun! i dislike moving myself, but don't mind helping other people. when it's your own stuff, it can get really overwhelming. i'm pretty good at organizing (other peoples things).
i also love tetras, which has fairly transferable skills.

Exporting

Exporting the third installment of The Moe and Martin Show in Audacity. I have a pretty top of the line computer, it takes a crazy long time to export a 1 hour 8 minute show...

Our Internet is down. I moved most of my food to my bedroom.
Neither of these things bother me that much.
Have I reached the pinnacle? Perhaps.
I'm ok with that, too!

dandelion seeds

I was supposed to take the bus to a job interview today, but it came 5 minutes early and went right by me. I called them and left a message to call me back and reschedule, but..no call back as of yet..

My aunt and uncle live nearby the bus stop, my grandmother too. I don't really talk to my extended family a lot, for various reasons. It's all kind of awkward to me, but, for some reason I decided to stop in. My uncle really showed an interest in my photography...and of course, he already knew about me applying to school, etc (my mom gossips like mad..) but he really showed a genuine interest. I was surprised to learn he owned a D40 & 2 lenses. He offered to loan them to me. I'm not sure why. I think it's his way of showing support & trying to help me out.

So, this was taken with my uncle's D40 on the walk back home...



We used to have a name for these other than "dandelion seeds" when we were kids, but I can't recall it now...

dog scratches :(

my dog put two long marks on my face with her claws. from my ear to my mouth. she knows not to jump on people's faces. it hurts like a bitch and will probably be a lot more red tomorrow.



we play kind of rough, but she's never jumped on my face before. i don't know what to think of that.
